Volunteer Roles
The Kinfolkz Family Reunion Camp could not happen without a community of volunteers. We welcome you to consider joining our crew of Kinfolkz Family Reunion Camp volunteers. Camp Registration Crew -
- Creates and packs Camp registration packets days before the camp weekend begins
- Registers Campers during the camp weekend
- Organizes and distributes camper name tags
Meal Team -
- Creates Camp Meals grocery list and shops for items days before the camp weekend begins
- Creates a Cooking Materials/Utensils list (includes paper plates, pans, etc.) and gathers/purchases list items
- Organizes and implements a cooking schedule for Saturday and Sunday breakfast
- Makes grocery store runs as needed during the camp weekend
- Cleans up cooking area following meals (please note that the campers - not the Meal Team - are responsible for cleaning up after themselves)
Games Crew -
- Creates a Games Items list for the Family Reunion games (including the Nature Treasure Search) and crafts (claves and shakers)
- Gathers Games and Crafts list items before the camp weekend begins
- Implements Games and runs the crafts table during the camp weekend
Drum/Dance/Chant and Campfire Crew -
- Assists in the gathering of drums before the camp weekend begins
- Helps to distribute, transport and store the drums for each Soul Session
- Makes certain that everyone has water and remains hydrated
- Purchases and maintains a right supply of firewood
- Starts, maintains and properly douses all campfires
Flex Team -
Assists all teams and campers (for example with tent set-up) as needed
Camp Photographer -
The Camp Photographer takes candid pictures throughout the weekend - as well as posed group photo.
